Spa & RelaxationHow to Prepare for Your First Spa Massage
27 May 2026

<p>## Before Your Appointment - **Hydrate** — Drink plenty of water before your massage to help your muscles relax and to flush toxins afterward. - **Arrive early** — Come 10-15 minutes before your appointment to fill out any forms and settle in. - **Communicate** — Tell your therapist about any injuries, problem areas, or preferences. This is your time. ## What to Expect When you arrive, you'll be shown to a private treatment room. Your therapist will step out while you undress to your comfort level and settle onto the massage table under a sheet. During the massage, only the area being worked on is uncovered. ## During the Massage - **Breathe deeply** — Deep breathing helps your body relax and makes the massage more effective. - **Speak up** — If anything is uncomfortable — the pressure, the temperature, the music — let your therapist know immediately. - **Let go** — This is your time. Allow yourself to drift and relax completely. ## After Your Massage Drink water, take it easy, and avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day if possible. Your body will be in a state of deep relaxation, and you may feel sleepy or energized — both are normal. ## At BIYŌ We offer a range of massages including our signature BIYŌ Massage, Hot Stone, Aroma Therapy, Deep Tissue, Thai Herbal Ball, and Thai Massage.
